1. ORIGINS ROOTED IN TRADITION (1950–1970)
Everything began in a small rural village in the north of Romania, in 1950.
Our great-grandfather Ion Alexandru, a humble farmer and nature lover, placed his first handmade hives at the edge of a sunflower field. With no machinery, no manuals—just instinct, patience, and deep respect for bees.
“He didn’t harvest honey. He waited for the bees to offer it.”
– Family saying passed down for generations.
Those first jars were used for the family, neighbors, and barter at the local market. It was never business—it was a way of life.
2. A FAMILY CRAFT PASSED THROUGH GENERATIONS (1970–2000)
Ion’s sons and daughters learned the secrets of the hives from an early age.
In the 1970s, his son Vasile, our grandfather, introduced wooden framed hives, began expanding the apiary, and formalized the first small honey cooperative in the region.
🐝 Transhumance began: moving hives to chase the best blossoms
🐝 Wildflower, acacia, and linden honeys became the family signature
🐝 Honey was now sold locally under the name “Apicultura Alexandru”
The whole family worked together: women filtered the honey, children labeled jars, and every harvest ended with a shared dinner beside the hives.
3. THE MODERNIZATION ERA (2000–2020)
In the early 2000s, the fourth generation stepped in.
and decided to take the heritage to the next level.
✅ They created JAVILEX BEE S.R.L., uniting the names and vision of the family
✅ Introduced stainless steel extraction, food-grade bottling, and traceability systems
✅ Started exporting Romanian honey to other EU countries
What never changed was the essence:
Respect for bees. Natural processes. And a love for doing things well.
4. TODAY — A BRAND WITH HISTORY AND PURPOSE
JAVILEX BEE S.R.L. is now an established beekeeping company in Romania.
We manage hundreds of hives across different regions, we collaborate with other trusted beekeepers, and we sell both bulk honey and our own branded products—always pure, raw, and full of authenticity.
